Line-up
Kristian Andrén - Vocals (Bloodbound, Meduza, Memento Mori (Swe), Tad Morose, Wuthering Heights)
Simon Johansson - Guitar (Abstrakt Algebra, Memory Garden,Steel Attack, Bibleblack, Wolf (Swe))
Marco A. Nicosia - Guitar (Hexenhaus)
Marty Marteen - Bass (Memento Mori (Swe), Hexenhaus, Nagazaki)
Martin Larsson - Drums
Fifth Reason was from the beginning Simon Johannson's project, the former Abstract Algebra and now Memory Garden's guitarist. Simon started Fith Reason after his time with Abstract Algebra. Tomas Lundin former with Hexenhaus did all the vocals for the first Psychotic demo. Later the vocals were later re-arranged/written for Kristian Andren (ex Tad Monrose), the lead singer now. Actually, Mike Wead (Mercyful Fate) asked Simon to ask Marco Nicosia (Hexenhaus) if he was interested to join the band and he liked it. The musical style of Fifth Reason is technical doomy power metal. Simon also talked some sense into two other old buddies (Martin Marteen, bass and Oskar), and suddenly he had his ass full once again. Early 1997 the foursome got a very good record deal with the fresh swedish metal label Heathendoom records which made them work even harder to write further material for their debut album. Simon asked one of his closest friends Mike Wead to produce the album which he would be glad to do. They stepped into Studio 22 together with Mike and recorded one helluva progressive and technical, yet melodical metal album, entitled "PSYCHOTIC". Eight awesome metal tracks written and produced by some of Sweden's finest and most professional musicians.
