Extended info

The idea is to make a concept album with great vocals and epic guitar battles, each song is about one different character facing his own destiny and following his road.. to consciousness... or to something else.

The Road to Consciousness heeft zich laten inspireren door bands als Lacuna Coil, Therion, Epica, Tristania, Evanescence, A Perfect Circle, Nightwish, Ayreon en Avantasia.

прикинь, они еще какают и не боги горшки обжигают
альбом разделен как бе на четыре секции и стилистически делает реверс то в пауэр, то в симфо, то в готик, то в прог... а вот понравиться или нет не знаю, я (например) считаю два последних альбома авантазии редкосным шлаком, а многим нравиться

и да, это рок-опера, вокалы в основном не академические, без классических надрывов глоток

Пожалуй все-таки скачаю - ибо Симфоник металл люблю, но при этом успел заметить на майспейсе пару вещей от группы, которые не привели меня в восторг - ну во-первых звучит все как-то... пресно что-ли,
во-вторых мне конечно нравится, когда музыка не однообразная, но тут смена муз. оттенков такова что плавности переходов им явно не хватает - что тоже не есть гуд.

Да мне пофиг как музыканты вообще выглядят. Главное, что здесь именно музыка неважная и ничем не впечатляет..

Ну не скажи...вид тоже имеет немаловажное эстетическое значение для лучшего восприятия,особенно на живом концерте

так слушай зверева, билана или виагру с малиновской, они хорошо красяться и модно одеваються

между тем люди то все профессиональные и далеко не левые, вы гляньте где там кто пел, или играл, или писал музыку, тут и старый вокалист найтвиша, и клавишник-композитор с эпики, и например эта беременная "курица" вокалистка бельгийской валькирии...
я заступаюсь не за музыку. это дело вкуса, хотя материал не совсем и отстой, голоса отличные, уж как минимум не хуже аналогичных лидеров стиля, другое дело что эти люди в основном скрыты за колоритными фигурами, ничуть их не профессиональней

Это кто такой-то? Какой-нибудь парнишка, попробовавший спеть что-нибудь путное в первые два часа существования группы? Ну такая знаменитость, наверное! Насколько я знаю, Тарья там была с самого начала, по крайней мере на «Метал-архивах» никакого упоминания об этом Вилле нет.

Кстати, при просмотре списка музыкантов и вокалистов мне так и захотелось спросить: КТО ВСЕ ЭТИ ЛЮДИ?! Узнал только музыканта из «Эпики», об остальных вообще никогда не слышал. И да, видок у некоторых ~~баб~~ дам жутковатый, особенно у пухлой свинки в татуировках... Жуть!

Ну-с, пойду послушаю теперь.

I'm the composer of RTC. Thanks for downloading it even if it's not on legal platforms

Since I've seen you have some questions about the project, here they are :

Are these guys professionals? Some are, some are not. I'm myself an accountant

Except for Yves Huts (from Epica), none of these persons can live from their own music, some are sound engineers, music teachers. The situation for metal and rock music in Belgium is that very few persons can live from their music.

About Ville. Ville was not a permanent member of Nightwish. However he worked with Nightwish on the album Wishmaster for vocal arrangements and is singing on the album. He's also giving singing masterclasses and one of his student is Marja Supponen. She's finnish but she lives in Brussels and sings on the track Starchild ans on Consciousness.

About production : since the project is self produced I had to make some choices, then we did not make photo shoots with professional photographers, there will be no video etc.

I know this album is far from being perfect but however I'm proud of it. It took me a lot of time and a lot of energy.

Maybe on the next album I'll take some "stars" but you know for a first release it's not easy to convince Tarja, Sharon Den Adel or Simone Simmons to sing on your stuff. Even the great Arjen Lucassen did never convinced RJ Dio or Alice Cooper to sing on Ayreon.
And of course they won't sin for nothing : you have to pay them. But I'm gratefull to those singers to have helped me to realize this album.

As for some rude words towards your project... Well, don't pay too much attention to them.

People here tend to use such sort of harsh talk constantly, not only towards your band. Also I think you don't really have to invite Tarja or other celebrities, you just need to make your music as perfect as possible (of course from your point of view). Though this album is not something totally overwhelming, it still has some nice moments and it's interesting enough. Thanks a lot for your hard work!
