Kirk Hammett of Metallica fame was friends with Les Claypool in high school and is said to be partly responsible for getting Les Claypool into the music scene.
Compilation appearance:
"Smash the Crystal" (Blood Shower demo version) on the Eastern Front double LP, released by Restless Records in 1986 and featuring Bay Area thrash bands. This compilation was condensed to one LP and retitled US Speedcore Invasion for European release by Disaster Records that same year. Blind Illusion also appears on that version.
