HIGHLORD started in 1996 with the monicker Avatar (Ita). The band recorded a demo tape featuring for the songs later released in the first album.
Thanks to that tape Underground Symphony had them sign for its roster but unfortunately due to line-up problems the band wasn't able to record the cd at Zenith Studios. Some time passed and Highlord had a new agreement with another new born label "Northwind Rec." as well as line-up changes.
Vascè joined them and "Heir of Power" finally was recorded and released in 1998.
"When the Aurora Falls..." was recorded in June 2000 at New Sin Studios and released in January 2001. The responce of the audience and specialized press was good and Highlord could take place in the Italian and foreign Metal Scene.
In 2002 Vascè left the band sick of playing metal and the new singer Andrea Marchisio joined.
In May 2002 Highlord recorded the new album "Breath of Eternity" that has been released later in Japan by Sound Holic on August 21st.
Japanese cd features bonus track "Pegasus Fantasy" cover of "Make-up" and soundtrack of the famous Anime "Saint Seya". The European version will be released within the end of October 2002.
In July 2002 Highlord took part in the second issue "Keeper of Jericho" Helloween tribute by Arise Record performing the song "Power" from the album "Time of the Oath".
Cd will be released in December 2002. In January 2004 the band entered "New Sin Studios" to record its fourth full lenght called "Medusa's Coil". Album will be released on 21st of April by Sound Holic for Japan and 10 May 2004 by Arise Records for European market.
Medusa's coil will be also licensed in Taiwan and Russia.
