Armenian pagan black metal band Rahvira (arm. Ռահվիրա) was formed in 2005 by the guitarist Tigran and the drummer Garegin. It all started when Vahagn,Gevorg,Tigran and Garegin get acquainted. They have similar views and musical taste so they became united. Taking as a principle the saying "Not only by words, but by deeds" and with their love to new discoveries, the guys decided to combine music and patriotic ideology, and this was the beginning of all their activities. Their ideological leader was the Garegin Nzhdeh - Armenian military and political leader. Soon the material was written in memory of the victims of the Armenian genocide. Garegin begins to play the drums, Gevorg takes on the bass guitar, Tigran - electric guitar and Vahagn - the microphone. After a while, Vahagn left the band , having been in the band for a few weeks. Right at this time the songs "Note", "Silence", "Victory" and "Mountain" were written . Later on Gore has joined the group as a vocalist, and with this line-up the team began their work. The next step was to give a few concerts. The music has been accepted and understood by the public. In 2007, the band broke up. Gore continued his studies, and Gevorg assembled a new band called Osttruppen. Only Tigran and Garegin had continued working in the band. It was at this time that Rahviras first recording "Silence" comes out, where the vocals had been done by Garegin. In 2008, a new material was written by the guitarist Tigran that was dedicated to the victims of the social war of 90s (referring to the Karabakh war, immigration, hunger, cold, and so on.)
In 2009, the band was restored, but with some changes. In 2009, he received an offer from Tigran to start doing vocals at Rahvira. After he acepted the proposal they begun recordings. Two new albums was recorded: "Rahvira - Կոչ արյաց" ( "Appeal to the Aryans") and "Rahvira - Սպիտակ Ջարդ" ( "white massacre"). The first part of the album came out on the June 6, 2010,and the second part - two months later. In late 2010, the band gets back garegin and Rahvira continues its activities. Later, in early 2011, Gevorg joins the band. With this new line-up they perform at solo concert Pagan Metal Party. Then in the same year came the third album - "Rahvira - "Our struggle". In October of the same year comes out the compilation "Մարտի Դաշտում" ( "On the battlefield"), which the guys released on their own, and from 2012 it was done by the label Wolfsangel Productionen. Later, on December 21, 2012, at the festival END of World band performed with a new lin-up. Prior to that, Garegin and Gevorg leave the band for personal reasons. In 2012, the band released the singles "Նպատակիս հասնեմ միայն ..." ( "Just to reach my goal") and "Ռ -36" ( "R-36"), the last one of which is dedicated to the Armenian alphabet. The 2013 the single "Գինի Լից" ( "Pour some wine") was released . Since 2012 Rahviras line-up has changed several times. At the beginning of 2013 there was a new change. Vahe Simonyan joined Rahvira as a bass player, and Vahe Aharonian begins to play the drums. With this line-up the band participates in several concerts in the clubs of the capital (Ulikhanyan, Taboo, Music Factory), and on June 1, 2013 gives a concert in the neighboring country - Georgia. on June 15, 2013 Rahviras 4th album entitled "Հակահարված" ( "Protivoudar") comes out , and before that there was release of EP "Տիգրան Մեծ" ( "Tigran the Great"). On August 1, 2013 the changes in the band occur again. Aramayis Apresian replaces Vahe Simonyan as a bass player, and Hamlet Grigorian - Vahe Aharonian. In September of the same year, members of the collective were changed again: Daniel Movsisyan (drums) and David Nazarian (bass guitar) had joined the band. with this line-up Rahvira performes in several clubs of Yerevan. In 2013 they published a mini-album "Aryan Man",the tracklist of which also includescovers of two works by the British rock band Black Sabbath - "Iron Man" and "Paranoid". In the same year band published a song featuring with Zaruhi Minasian which was entitled "Դիվական Բալլադ" ( "Demon ballad"). In addition, the videos for the songs "Ոչինչ Չի Մնա" ( "Nothing will be left"), "Թաղել Են Քեզ" ( "bury you") and "Նպատակիս Հասնեմ Միայն" ( "Just to reach their goal" ) were filmed in the same year . The group continues to perform on live concerts. On January 6, 2014 the group took part in the event Սեւ Պատարագ (Black liturgy), and on January 28 the single "Ես Հայ Եմ" ( "I am an Armenian") comes out. The series of releases were continued and in February comes out the video for the song "Ոտքի Ելեք" ( "Stand"). On March 2, 2014 the group participates in the event Metal Assault, and on 23 April - Infernal Nemesis. On April 24 of the same year comes out the mini-album "Արորդիներ" ( "sons of the Aryans"), and on May 9 there was a video release of "Ես ՀԱՅ Եմ" ( "I am an Armenian"). On 28th of May comes out the 5th full-length album called "Բազկի Ուժով" ( "Force of arms"), and on the 1st and 8th of June, the band performed at the festival Plus One Qualification Armenia. In June the drummer Daniel Movsisyach leaves the band and was replaced by Karen Arordi, and in the end the group gives a concert with him on Metalocalypse event. In July, the team organizes charity concerts under the title "Unplugged Rahvira". On September 1st comes out the video "Վրիժառու" ( "Avenger") and on 5th of the same month was released a second duet with Alexander Arson (GloomyDeath) entitled "Աշխարհի Ցավը Քո Մեջ" ( "The pain of the world in you"). In the November band releases a single "Կար ժամանակ" ( "There was a time"). At the end of 2014, the line-up of the group is changed again. Drummer Karen Arordi replaced by Vladimir Ohanian, and with this line-up the band performes at Metal Attack 2014 Afterparty on December 13.on December 14 Rahvira gives a stunning concert at the Metal Attack 2014 Georgia in Georgia. Until the end of 2014 the band gives a few concerts "Unplugged Rahvira". In 2015, the band performs in MetalAttak 2015 and after a few months celebrates its 10th birthday at Ulikhanyan club. On March 1 Rahvira released their music video "իմ սիրտը լեռներում է" ( "My heart is in the mountains"), which was the first clip of metal genre in 2015. In early May of the same year the label CVLMINIS starts publishing Rahviras material and republishes all albums of Rahvira and produces several exclusive collections. In 2016 Hayk Abrahamyan joined the band as the rhythm guitarist and Narek Yeranyan as the lead vocalist. The concet tour hs begun.
