HATRED was formed in May 1995 by Leonidas (guitar) and Iraklis (bass) Deligiorgis and Kostas Vasiliou (vocals). In 1995, they recorded an unreleased song titled “Cries in the silence” with a session drummer named Jim Mimidis. In September of the same year, Nikos Tsilikoudis (drums) and Stelios Papazoglou (guitar) joined the band. In December, Kostas Vasiliou was replaced by Michalis Tikopoulos (vocals/keyboards) and in April of 1996 this line-up recorded their first demo “Secret Fairy Tales” in Rock Sound Studio, in Thessaloniki. In September of 1996, Nikos and Stelios left the band for personal reasons and Lefteris Nasos (guitar) and Vasilis Gantsios (drums) joined the band.

After Vasilis’ departure, in April 1997, Hatred entered “Rainbow Studio”, in Kavala to record their debut album “Eternal Rest In Peace”. The album was released in February 1998. In September of 1999 the Deligiorgis brothers left the band. It was a tough period for the group because the members had to join the army and then to get on with their studies. The two remaining members Lefteris and Michalis got over the band’s problems and they wrote new material released as “Dark Trauma”.
