Underneath was born in Tomar, Portugal, in October 2001. Originally formed by Sérgio Garraio (vocals), Telmo Teixeira (guitar), Ricardo Ferreira (bass) and Ricardo Neto (drums).
After some live performances the band decides to record their first cd, "Underneath - 2002", a 3 track promo-cd. In September of 2004 Miguel Fonseca joined the band, becoming the new singer and Sergio Garraio steps on to the guitar.
During June of 2005 they recorded "By Flesh".
After several gigs around the country in the beginning of 2007 the band had some line-up changes, Carlos Silva enter as the new bass player and Luis Neves the new guitar.
At the moment the band is searching for a record label to release their first album.
