After the recording of their two first demo tapes, Sadus contributed the songs ``Kill Team`` and ``Twisted Face`` to the Raging Death compilation in 1987.
Sadus' first record - Illusions - was produced by Metal Church's guitarist John Marshall and sold about 7000 copies which eventually got the band signed to Roadrunner Records.
After the release of Swallowed In Black in 1990, Sadus did a tour alongside Obituary and Sepultura.
