Meyhna'ch decided to split-up the band on December 8, 2009.
This band belonged to "The Black Legions" (Les Legions Noires), along with Vlad Tepes, Belkètre, Brenoritvrezorkre, and Torgeist, before being kicked out in 1996 due to Meyhna'ch's problem with hard drugs (being a "junky"). However, Mutiilation was the longest lasting band out of the entity of the Black Legions.
Ended as a one-man project, though other members were involved in the band in the past. Members of Celestia used to play instruments live.
Also appeared on the "Black Metal Blitzkrieg" compilation LP (300 copies, End All Life Productions, 2001) with the track "Under the Full Moon".
The band played two shows in 2001. One in Marseille and one at "Under the Black Sun" Festival. Both were bootlegged by Wargeist Prod. under the title "Desecrate Jesus' Name" (CD + DVD, in DVD case), lim. to 100 and hand numbered. No extras.
