Additional notes:
Formed in September 1987 in Lidzbark by Cipis on guitar and Gąsior on vocals & drums, clearly reminiscent of Cryptic Slaughter, Vulcano and Sodom. They did their first show in October of the same year in their home town; the second in November, on which they met Siemek, who subsequently joined the band as bassist.
They recorded their first demo Deathly Ceremonic at reherseal room in L.D.K. as a trio, with the collaboration of their friend and manager Axer. Drummer Doc took drum duties from Gąsior after the recording. A second demo was recorded in May 1989 at Studio Kameralne in Olsztyn with Cipis on vocals. They embraced a more hardcore sound on their third studio demo Kill Me 'Cause I Can't Stop.
Slashing Death appeared at numerous festivals in Poland like Jarocin, Thrash Camp, Thrash'fest, S'Thrash'ydlo and Drrrrama, becoming one of the most acclaimed acts in their home country underground scene.
Shortly before they split up, the band recorded their last (rehearsal) demo containing new tracks. The recording session took place in an improvised recording studio in Bartoszyce around 1992. The recording however, never saw the light of day. Some of the tracks were later used by Cipis on his new project called Otoczenie. They disbanded at the of the year mostly due to musical differences and Axer's departure from the country, being unable to secure a record deal. Also in 1992, Carnage Records re-released both second and third demo on a cassette entitled Kill Me Coz I Have No Hope.
• In 1989, Raczkowski joined Vader while he was still playing with Slashing Death and Unborn.
• Gasperowicz formed a nu-metal band called Otoczenie after the group’s dissolution in the early-90s, taking part in side-projects like Desecrator, Nyia or Sweet Noise later.
• Shambo joined Vader, with whom he performed until 2001, without taking part in any of the band’s studio recordings.
