Terrific debut album by Owl, a project of Jeroen Putnam (Nord, Frostbite, Irrwisch, Widergeist).
After a terrific debut demo, Owl released "Fonkelingen" with a more polished sound, both in production as in mixing, specially with improvements in the vocals.
Richer songwriting with terrific freezing riffing at par with the BBH, and the great addition of accordion, which not only compliments the guitars in great bucolic harmonies as it shines on his own as well such as in the outro track.
A truly DIY project, recorded with self-made guitar and accordion.
Released on cassette format via Zwaertgevegt.
