Additional notes:Xysma stands for "membranous shreds in the faeces." The band was originally called Repulse (Fin). Xysma was the first Finnish grindcore band. Starting off as goregrind Xysma quickly moved away from extreme metal and then evolved into a stylistic mix of 70's heavy rock in the vein of Black Sabbath and death metal. Then they changed their style again into pure retro rock and finally into pop. Many Finnish death metal bands, like Convulse, Lubricant, Paraxism, Godfall, Pakeni, and Disgrace (Fin) followed in Xysma's steps.
