Velvet Cacoon has split up. They split up after they were found to have stolen music from other bands, My Violent Ego & Kourova, that they used for early demos.

Clair Cassis, though started by Velvet Cacoon's members, is a totally different band. You can tell the difference by comparing the sounds of both bands: Clair Cassis is more 'pop' whereas Velvet Cacoon is ambient black metal.

I've been a Velvet Cacoon fan since 2004. I can still remember hearing 'Genevieve' for the first time back then and being amazed by it.
