Дорогие друзья! Два с половиной года назад мы заявили о своем распаде, а также о невозможности нашего воссоединения в будущем. Причин тому была масса, не будем сейчас ворошить былое. На тот момент это был, пожалуй, единственный выход из творческого тупика. По крайней мере, мы действительно верили, что поступаем правильно и были твердо убеждены, что вместе нам уже не играть. Нам понадобилось время, чтобы все обдумать и сделать для себя некоторые выводы. И мы рады, наконец, объявить официально о нашем возвращении. Мы вернулись, преисполненные сил и планов на будущее, которые нам помогут осуществить наши давние друзья - творческое объединение Moscow Funeral League.
MFL – некоммерческая организация, созданная московскими музыкантами. Ее главной целью является развитие, поддержка и продвижение таких направлений тяжелой музыки, как funeral doom и funeral doom-death. Также в состав MFL входит активно растущий независимый лейбл MFL- Records http://mfl-records.com , на котором мы планируем издать наш ближайший релиз

We are proud to announce Season of Mist as our new label. Since our latest album 'Illusion's Play' was released 10 years ago, we can already reveal that our long awaited follow-up full-length will express misery in new ways. As we have published EP's and our first releases via various labels, we are pleased to have found a steady home and look forward to a long lasting partnership. Our next album has already been recorded and will be released early in 2015.

If suffering is an integral element of great art and indeed life itself, one must wonder what kind of pain has been inflicted upon the minds behind Finland's Shape of Despair for them to paint such disconsolate sonic landscapes. Terms like ”glacial”, ”gargantuan” and ”monstrous” have been used to try and describe Shape of Despair's bleak hymns but alas, words fall short and simply cannot convey the crushing weight, vastness and melancholy of their sorrowful dirge.

Shape of Despair has been a forerunner of what is generally (and quite inanely) classified as ”funeral doom” for the last 15 odd years. After the demise of their death metal band in 1995, Jarno Salomaa and Tomi Ullgren decided to create something different, something darker, something to reflect the abject atmosphere of life in the council estates and the contrasting serenity found in the nature surrounding their area.

In 2000, Spikefarm Records, a burgeoning sidelabel for the well established Spinefarm Records, signed Shape of Despair and released their debut album, ”Shades of...” to rave reviews and general praise from the international doom community. The band was still to deliver it's proverbial coup de grace in the form of 2001's ”Angels of Distress”, an album that cemented their position as THE doom band of the new millennium. ”Illusion's Play”, released in 2004 and the self-titled compilation a year later were their last records for Spikefarm and marked the end of an era for Shape of Despair.

Reinvigorated by the addition of new vocalist Henri Koivula and a freshly inked deal with France's , Season of Mist, Shape of Despair are set to begin anew, delivering yet another monolith of morosity. Swiss philosopher and poet Henri-Frйdйric Amiel (1821 - 1881) wrote: ”You desire to know the art of living, my friend? It is contained in one phrase: make use of suffering.” And that is exactly what Shape of Despair are doing. Abandon all hope, for a new era of despondency is at hand.

My Dying Bride are in the studio recording their 12th full studio album at Academy Studios’ in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire the mix and some final edits will take place at Futureworks in Manchester.
Engineering work is being taken care of by Keith Appleton, Dan Mullins and Mags.
No definite release date as yet but considering the recording has only just started it’s not looking good for this year but who knows.
Drums are done and Calvin is as we speak working on his side of the guitar tracks. We haven't had a lot of time for pictures but we promise to get some up before recording is finished.
As of today we have 7 songs and the working titles are below, only Feel The Misery is a definite title the rest will change more than likely as we progress.
