Toxic Society is a crossover thrash band formed in Salatiga since 2018 by Candra (lead vocals), Luthfi (guitar), Aldo (bass), Ulung (guitar), and Alif (drum). After the release of their self-titled EP which was distributed online in 2019, the band is back with a new single this year titled “Berhala” which has been released on limited CD this July as part of the bundle pack project and has been released on August 20, 2021.

Carried with the same dystopian and modern society features, the new single itself is a critique of excessive figure worship as the manifestation of the jargon “Kill Your Idol.”

The single itself serves as a guide to further explore the band’s musicality as well, knowing the distinction musical backgrounds of the members, which range from atmospheric black metal to youthcrew hardcore.

Later on, the single “Berhala” will be included on Toxic Society’s album in the future which is still in progress and process of concept exploration.
