It's hard to describe Sabazius' music. Superficially, their music is comparable to that of Black Shape of Nexus and Monarch. However, Sabazius always manages to keep things interesting. For example, the first track on this release is for the most part a bunch of samples and spoken word dealing with occult themes (including material from Aleister Crowley) played with a constant drum beat in the background while the guitar and bass slowly fade in. Sabazius comes highly recommended and deserves more attention then what they have received.
