The start of a new year is so liberating. A time to reflect on the good times
and forget the bad, right? And in this very issue we do just that. Our taskforce
get to grips with some of the musical offerings of the past twelve months,
wrestling them into the edible morsel that is known as the ultimate must-have
must-have list; the Terrorizer Albums Of The Year.
Have we been wrong yet? Have our past chart toppers gone down in history as
albums of classic proportions? Hell yeah they have, and weĺre pretty confident
that this year will be no different.
Not only that, but you lot, the readers, the ultimate critics have sifted
through the year gone to crown your true metal warriors in our annual poll, plus
weĺve glanced forth to predict which bands will no doubt make the end of year
polls this time next year.
What makes our year-end lists so rousing is their collective spirit, gathering
together all those who live for the riff; from Enslaved to Ensiferum,
Terrorizerĺs Albums Of The Year and Readersĺ Poll draw together those who have
devoted their lives to heavy fucking metal, and have been chosen by those who
live by the same code; you the readers or our very own team of riff-devotees.
And those advocates of steel nestled within our pages, party animals Children Of
Bodom, the unrelenting Metallica, the Swedish new blood who live by the mantra
of ĹDenim And Leatherĺ, and Saxon, the godfathers who helped rally us to the
cause in the first place, boy if they donĺt leave you pumped after reading then
well maybe there is no hope for you. Is heavy metal the most exciting damn genre
