Extended info
On November 10th 2017 Instant Classic will release a new album from Poland, Warsaw-based experimental group Merkabah. Entitled "Million Miles", the record contains eight new tracks merging free jazz and avantgarde metal.
In conceptual approach, "Million Miles" is a consequence of the direction first took on "Moloch". One theme bonds together the whole album, as it's narration coils around a sea legend, that has traits proper of an ancient myth. It goes via strength and pride to exile, while it's dynamics is shapen by a road full of conflict.
Aleksander Pawłowicz :: Bass
Gabriel Orłowski :: Guitar, Electronics, Lap-steel
Kuba Sokólski :: Drums, Percussion, Electronics
Rafał Wawszkiewicz :: Saxophone, Lap-steel, Synth

Как-то не доводилось послушать их. Похоже время настало)

I like this one a lot, their first album was quite good as well.

Perhaps it's to do with the conceptual approach taken on this album, the songs take longer to build up, and for me that creates a little bit of repetition, which if there was a weak point on this album, that would be it.

Not sure how Avant-Garde it is, its quietly progressive and quite linear..... mmmm, yeah suppose there is a bit of Avant in there. Lots of slow quiet passages with orchestral type interludes, that are both subtle and very jazzy, that evolve into multi instrument crescendos, some of which are quite heavy (the drums are great).

Song "Ourang Medan' is a good example of the above. Fantastic song. Great workout music, when you think about it. (start off slow and end up ripping the shit out of it)

A great album indeed, sweet stuff.

Последняя тема понравилась больше всего. А в целом, все же некоторое однообразие имеет место быть.
