Watain won the Swedish grammy for Best Hard Rock in 2011 with "Lawless Darkness".
"Reaping Death", the CD single which was exclusively distributed in Sweden via Sweden Rock Magazine, was certified gold in the band's home country on April 21 2010 by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry for sales in excess of 10,000 copies. (Note: Each copy of the magazine sold in Sweden counted towards the certification.).
Erik Danielsson is the editor of Hellish Massacre 'Zine and the artist behind Trident Arts. Tore Stjerna is also a producer who owns Necromorbus Studio.
The band got its name after a song by Von.
