Согласно сообщению Fakt.pl, вокалист BEHEMOTH Adam "Nergal" Darski вновь вернулся в гематологическое отделение Uniwersyteckie Centrum Kliniczne (UCK) в Гданьске, из-за инфекции, подхваченной шесть недель спустя после пересадки костного мозга.

"Пациент был вновь был доставлен в больницу потому что он не оказывал должного за собой ухода" - сказала доктор Maria Bieniaszewska, доцент на кафедре гематологии.

Пока неясно, насколько сильно инфекция повлияет на адаптацию после операции и как долго он будет оставаться в больнице. В его состоянии, когда иммунная система слишком слаба, любая инфекция может представлять угрозу жизни.

Согласно Marrow.org, большинство случаев заражения происходит в первые сто дней после трансплантации, но риск остается до тех пор, пока иммунная система пациента будет слабой.
