New album is boring as fuck...it has nothing that stands out. Serpent Sermon was great, Frontschwein was "so so" and Viktoria is just....well it's just Marduk reduced to the most simplest elements. At the same time it's not very brutal, not very fast, not melodic...just simple boring and short. Very uncreative and powerless.

Типичная мардуковская бомбёжка переплетается с мелодичными кусками песен. Якобы оригинально, якобы своеобразно, экспериментально. Мне не понравилось всё равно, скучно и провально. И без Легиона эта команда потеряла треть своей энергетики.

Marduk being Marduk. Good album, but has it's weak spots. June 44 is annoying. The best songs are imo Werewolf and Viktoria. I'm glad this band didn't get weak, like many others did. No Post-, no progressive, no symphonic, no chillout techno. Just brutal primitive into-the-face black metal.
And I forgot over time just how horrible MP3-128 sounds - if you didn't download this yet - better wait til Friday.

Мне лишь интересно, это Морган специально пошел в сторону уменьшения скоростей и мощи, и даже относительного минимализма.
Или им просто для лэйбла надо было отработать кругляш.
Или же дело в Мортуусе, сконцентрировавшегося на личном проекте и тем самым оставившего Мардук без своей подпитки.

Слишком прозрачно и минималистично для Мардука.
Сегодня ехал домой, несколько раз прогнал короткий, но мощный Iron Dawn, по приезду сразу начал слушал сабж, но на контрасте не воспринял вообще. Потом ещё попробую.
