CANNIBAL CORPSE guitarist Patrick "Pat" O'Brien has been released from jail, less than a week after he was arrested on charges of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and burglary of an occupied dwelling with assault. Deputies say he burglarized a house and charged at a deputy with a knife.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, O'Brien was released from Hillsborough County jail on Friday, December 14 at 9:01 p.m. after posting a $50,000 surety bond.

Cannibal Corpse Respond to Guitarist Pat O’Brien’s Arrest

Cannibal Corpse took to Facebook on Thursday to express support for their bandmate. “As a band and individuals, we all want nothing but the best for our brother and partner, Pat,” they wrote. “While we can offer no further information about the incident, we wanted everyone to know that Pat is getting the help he needs and appreciates the love and support from Cannibal Corpse fans around the world.

“Pat is currently with family and friends and looks forward to a healthy return at some point,” the band continued in its statement. “For anyone wondering, all Cannibal Corpse touring will happen as planned and all shows will be played.”

Нельзя брать паузу между альбомами в шесть-семь лет, мы же не KISS или IRON MAIDEN, или другие. Люди хотят слышать новое. Даже если ты понимаешь, что много не продашь, они всё равно хотят слышать новую музыку. Так что да — у нас есть материал в работе.

В текущем положении дел это всё-таки бизнес. Да, нам нравится играть музыку, мы любим выступать, но это бизнес. Так что надо, чтобы двигатель работал, ты гастролировал — все деньги сейчас здесь».

Относительно продюсера нового материала он сказал:

«Joe [Cincotta]отлично провёл работу по сведению прошлого альбома, так что он первый кандидат. Но мы ещё не дошли до этого момента. Мы сейчас собираем риффы и думаем, что делать дальше».
