Линейка 94-00 вообще идеально сведена, причем по-разному. Легкий и прозрачный Мастер, хлесткий трэшевый БТР, чистейший монолит ДР, ну а сабж вообще сложно оценивать объективно (любимый альбом вообще всего и вся), но, кмк, непричесанная хулиганистость и тестостероновость тутошнего звука пошли ему только на пользу.

Почти соглашусь.
Где-то Old Vyaine писАл, что альбом крайне хитовый. Вот с этим я бы согласился полностью. Из всех альбомных песен мне не нравится A Million to One. И то лишь потому, что она звучит на мой взгляд чуть послабее, чем остальные. А вообще, конечно, очень сбалансированный альбом. Присутствует все: и баллады (Forever and One), и скоростные вещи (Power, Before the War), и среднетемповые (Anything My Mama Don't Like). Вокал Дерриса просто парит в заоблачных высотах, гитарные партии (не побоюсь повториться) заставят задуматься многих гитарреро, на тему "А как вообще такое возможно - столь органично сочетать технику, мелодию и вкладывать в каждую ноту свою душу?
Единственное отличие от работ Хансеновского периода (в частности - Хранителя) для меня в том, что здесь - просто великолепный подбор отличных песен, а там - что-то вроде истории.

Хитовый альбом, продуманный, как выше было подмечено, есть в нем этакая хулиганистось, запал, кураж.
Уж насколько я не люблю Дериса, но даже он сюда как-то вписывается. The Time of the Oath - это пиковая точка группы в 90-х. Странно, что потом началась несусветная духотища на Better than Raw и The Dark Ride.
