Отличный альбом. Конечно изрядная доля попсовости присутствует, но эта попсовость, уже со второго круга прослушивания выливается в фишку.
Очень понравился альбом, прямо скажу - не ожидал. |

На удивление приятный альбом от ненужной ранее (во всяком случае, до Мелиоры мне их творчество вообще не нравилось) группы. Конечно, по большему счету это поп-музыка с тяжеленькими гитарками, но это КРАЙНЕ ХОРОШАЯ поп-музыка. И да, те, что тут (на этом альбоме, я имею в виду) умудряются слышать Mercyful Fate - неиллюзорно ипанулись головой об угол стола. А вот сходство с хард-н-хэви 80-х самое прямое.

Нынешний альбом шведов Ghost был ожидаем по нескольким причинам. Как минимум хотелось бы реабилитации за не очень зашедший «Meliora», а лучше всего переплюнуть очень и очень неплохой «Infestissumam». Ну и вышедший синглом и клипом «Rats» вселял надежды если не на второе, то на первое точно. Хотя по единичным трекам судить будущий альбом та еще затея… Но тут она стрельнула.
Зашли конечно парни с козырей и сразу же удавшийся «Rats» засунули в самое начало, но дальнейшее содержание не подкачало ни разу. Альбом легкий, слушается непринужденно, а некоторые вещи так и призывают если не пустится в пляс, то притопывать ножкой и подпевать уж точно. Очень нехарактерные, для команды конечно же, пара инструментальных вещей. Тобиас и компания сделали нечто вроде как и достаточно попсовое, чтоб его поставить на радио, но и когорту фанатов прошлых работ это вряд ли оттолкнет. Думаю даже, что новых прибавит, особенно после этих каверов. Они заслуживают отдельного внимания, такие непохожие друг на друга композиции и так круто сыгранные. За «It's A Sin» я готов им простить не только провал 2015-го года, но и еще пару таких же пластинок, только одна просьба есть: чтоб они не подряд шли, а вот как сейчас, через одну. В общем альбом шикарный, на 5/5 и в верхах топа нынешнего года осядет, но с тем что это неформат я все же согласен. Нет тут ни психоделии уже, ни оккультизма, по-моему. Ghost’s Tobias Forge Writing New Album
Ghost have been making the most of their Prequelle album, but behind the scenes mastermind Tobias Forge has already started looking ahead to the follow-up effort. In a new interview with Billboard, the singer stated that the next album he's been "working on for months now," and already has a timeline for how he'd like things to play out. "This time around I feel very certain as to what I want to do. I have tons of bits and pieces and stuff written, and I know that once I really start working that there’s going to be a record which feels very inspired. The dramaturgic nature of the records and the stories are getting more and more intertwined nowadays, which I like," says Forge. He goes on to add, "It’s almost like working with a series, I guess; You have your characters and you can still fuck with them and add new things and take things away. You can do whatever you want, which is always enticing from a creative standpoint.” The vocalist has plans to be in the studio by the beginning of 2020 with hopes of his next work arriving somewhere later that year. |

Wrong. Dis band is good. Not that good but they are quite interesting. Especially taking into consideration the wave of revival of shabby '60s and '70s aesthetic and the countless amount of bands with more or less same songs. They are talented and gifty. And they deserve all that hype. For real.

После недавнего (да, до меня долго доходит) ознакомления с данным коллективом в итоге был очень неприятно удивлен. Есть у них песни - просто отвал башки, хочется слушать и слушать, но таких песен на альбом обычно 1-2, а остальное - просто какой-то проходной порожняк, который существует вообще непонятно зачем. По сути с каждого альбома можно изъять синглы, а остальное отправить в мусорку.
Аналогичный прикол с вокалом Тобиаса. Местами настолько великолепно поет, что аж дух захватывает. Но случается это, опять же, пару раз на альбом. Ещё я не совсем понял, почему к подобного рода музыке был выбран именно данный визуальный стиль. Абсолютно никак не сочетается. На данном альбоме, лично на мой взгляд, самая наибольшая концентрация великолепных песен-хитов из всех их релизов. |

There`s nothing bad in KISS-like oufit especially if the music is solid. Look at black metal corpsepaints - it`s really funny as hell - mature men remind a 6 foot 7 foot hamsters in childish makeups. In fact many Black Metal bands have gave up on corpsepaints. Take for example Infernal War. They don't wear makeups and it doesn't make them less Black Metal or whatever.
