Не знал ранее про таких австралийцев, но их альбом мне определённо понравился. Первая композиция - 10-минутная Ulcer Man - вызвала сомнения в "просто" думовости команды - это всё же, думаю, подпадает под дэт/дум, хотя и очень-очень мелодичный, да и вокал здесь гроулингующий... Но уже вторая вещь By Hell Or Highwater (тоже почти 10-минутная) убедила в "традициональности" данного дума, ибо нет жёстких рифов, хотя и опять-таки, при гроулингующем вокале. Дальнейшие номера - Wanderlust, Breaching The Castle и Dreamscape - снова не очень-то жёсткие (в последней, правда, дэт-думовое начало), и все без исключения очень мелодичные. Похоже, мелодичность австралийцев - их конёк, их визитная карточка. Отдельно стоит остановиться на The Last Hand - это самая простая и доходчивая вещь на альбоме, но при этом и самая красивая, самая эффектная... лучшая! А заканчивается полноформатник - первый, кстати, в послужном списке этих ребят - 23-минутной (!!) композицией Bird Of Stone Wings, где впервые на альбоме ("лучше поздно, чем никогда") появляется настоящий депрессивный дум - хороший подарок для любителей подепрессировать и потужить. Да уж, 23 минуты - это матёро! Бывает ли больше - так, чтобы звучало в одной манере, однородно!? Вообще, я поклонником депрессива не являюсь, но здесь он сильно не давит, да и весь остальной материал хорош. Поэтому, в целом, альбом очень неплох. 8.5/10
