Stavanger's 122 STAB WOUNDS began life billed as AGONY, releasing the 1995 demo 'Hunting Humans' under their formative title. Although their legacy remains the solitary March 1996 Oyvind Grodem produced album 'Deity Of Perversion', various band members have contributed greatly to the Norwegian extreme Metal scene with guitarist Dan E. Stokes having credits with MALPRACTICE and bassist E.N. Death (Frode Sivertsen) connected with ANTAIOS, FORLORN and GEHENNA.

Involved at one time with 122 STAB WOUNDS would be the GEHENNA, FORLORN, SATYRICON, BLOOD RED THRONE and SHADOW SEASON guitarist Sanrabb, AURVINDIR and FORLORN guitarist Alvarin (a.k.a. Hennex) as well as FORLORN bassist C. Worhn. Other 122 STAB WOUNDS personnel include drummers Blod (Jan Egil Fosse), involved with ANTAIOS, FORLORN, GEHENNA, PAINTED SILENCE, TSUJDER and INFEST and Dirge Rep (Per Husebø), a well known veteran of DESSPO HALLELUJAH, AURA NOIR, GEHENNA, ENSLAVED, ORCUSTUS and NEETZACH amongst others.

A second album was mooted but, with steady progress on with parallel act FORLORN, never transpired. Sanrabb, E.N. Death and Blod all featured as members of THE DEVIANT, releasing the 'Intimate Skinning' demo. An album, 'Ravenous Deathworship', followed in November 2005.

Да мне тож нравится эта группа,тем более музыканты принимали участие в куче известных норвежских групп.Тока стиль наверное я не правильно охарактеризовал,все-таки ближе к Black/Death ,нежели Black. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/25.gif)

По поводу в Lossless,ни разу не делал,если есть,где описание как там надо делать,киньте ссылку. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/21.gif) А ваще это образ по-моему - ape,cue-лень возиться-отдача у меня очень маленькая,пока выложу-задолбаюсь.

Сегодня только ознакомился с данной группой и с этим гениальным творением в своем стиле и роде. Первое, что напомнило это действительно Entombed. Поэтому в шапке правильно было указано что Дет металл ну и может чуточку блека и то не много его тут, если вообще есть?
Очень понравилось люблю такую музыку в стиле шведского Дет металла.

Один из лучших альбомов в блэкдэте 90х годов. Коих и было то не много. Даже в 2021 слушается просто отлично. По звучанию ни на что не похожие. Опять же, композиции запоминающиеся, мрачные и от звучания драма получаешь наслаждение. С стороны вокала так же как и в The Deviant, скрим с штробасом но чуть ядовитее. Как в тех же Deviant сочный дисторшн. Живой, приятный, хороший звук, для 96го года это вообще вышка. Сейчас и то записывают хуже. Короче дико недооцененная вещь, не понимаю почему людям не зашло. Это настоящая, стоящая классика. Reign Alive тяготеет ближе к блеку, но на протяжении всего альбома смесь деза и блека тесно переплетаются. Рифы качают, соло приятны слуху. Даже интерлюдии толковые, создают настроение. Holocaust Breed самый любимый, хитовый трек. The Deity of Perversion тоже нравится. Как и многие композиции. Есть группы одного трека или двух. Есть средние или там где тебе заходит только половина треков, а остальные ты выбрасываешь. Здесь же тот случай, цельного произведения, хочется от начала и до конца погрузится и испытать тот жестокий мрак. Который музыканты вложили в своё творение.
