А если вы задумаетесь над тем вопросом, какой дэт был в наличии на рубеже 80/90, то станет понятно, почему такого рода группы могла называться _мелодик_ дэтом. Впрочем, меня там не было, так что..)

I thinnk their album A Virgin And A Whore is similar a bit to Kalmah's They Will Return - of course firstly because of the same keyboard genius on both albums, Pasi Hiltula. Also there are a lot of other finnish melodic death metal bands like more famous Norther or early Children Of Bodom works, or Cadacross, but there are no direct similarities, they just share the general style. Fmdm bands are not so numerous like swedish but still - I think they are more interesting and melodic usually.

keys explosion! The first thing that came into my mind was the association with band Skyfire. I don't know why, but they seemed to have the same style of performing stuff, the way of playing keys makes me horny it just sounds so sweetly can't resist, same harsh growling, earburied riffs eventually they got all to hook you in! So, if you are about to broaden your horizon, I guarantee Skyfire would be the best choice!

Да вот и нет. Этот термин поначалу применялся как раз для обозначения стиля американских хэви-метал команд. Ну это теперь мы их хэви называем. Хотя вот кто-то, как видишь, не называет (IMG:style_emoticons/default/1488.gif)

you must listen to CHAOTIC BEAUTY from eternal tears of sorrow (well there Anti kokko the guitarman of kalmah in it...)
this album is at the same level of the kalmah ones
In my opinion this album and SWAMPLORD of kalmah are the best around of the genre..
about the songs ..HADES of kalmah and Bhean sidhe of Eternal tears of sorrow over all
