этим альбомом они открыли новую эру enslaved. раньше мне ка кто не очень нравился а вот послушал его недавно и понял что он очень хороший альбом, видимо тогда я до него не до рос

Wrong topic, but that was indeed a re-release of "Vertebrae", that limited edition box was released in 2009 (note the "voted album of the year 2008" at the cover sticker) and the album itself was initially released in 2008 with no bonuses.

This is not a "re-release" of a global understanding of this term, because the 2 CD Limited Box was released after 6 mounth after standart 1 CD release. See on CD in the Box and you will see that CD is absolute the same as standart CD. Bonus CD come in separate envelope. I think that standart jewel case CD and jewel case CD from the Box was manufactured at one time. Indie Recordings regular stopped their releases.

Well, from the moment that they feed the market again with a new package, it's a reissue/re-release.
Remastered or not, same CD or not, with or without bonus stuff, it is (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile4.gif)
But I get your point (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile3.gif)

They probably picked up leftovers from the initial release or pressed more CDs with no differences, and branded them into a new package with bonus stuff to commemorate the "best album of 2008" award or simply to see if they could sell more.

Та же самая беда. При очередном прослушивании распробовал вот. Разве что столь смело не буду распространяться про новую эру.
Уже на первых песнях альбома стало ясно, что норвежцы по кругу (или еще какой-нибудь ленте Мебиуса) гоняют ряд стилистических решений: в As Fire Swept Clean the Earth пост-блэковое гитарное соло переходит в злобный блэк, перемещается к эпическому викингскому напеву; в The Dead Stare викинг/блэк перемежается прогрессивными вливаниями и завершается спэйс-роковым гитарным аутро.
В большей или меньшей степени такое многуровневое решение было применено ко всем песням: напев Havenless, похожий на народный (верю, что так и пели викинги на пиру после возвращения из похода), джетроталловская флейта в сочетании с таким злобным гитарным рифом в Queen Of Night; смены ритмического рисунка, вплоть до ходов из арсенала thrash metal; северная бесконечная мелодика в The Crossing; много не просто post black, а post rock-ходов, тут же меняющихся криками голодного до крови берсерка, а затем - открытым голосом. Реально представлял себе бесконечность северного моря и неприветливость его берегов, когда гонял этот диск.
П.с. Выделять что-то особое не хочется, здесь все песни такие.
