А вообще, шикарнейший релиз. При отличной записи и неких модерновых веяниях в творчестве, в Undead Man Walking реально чуется дух олдскульной трэшнины. Причём, трэшнины, вобравшей в себя всё лучшее из американской и европейской традиций: здесь можно услышать отголоски Sodom, Testament, Metallica, Exodus и многих-многих других. Жирнющие гитары; прямо-таки призывающий к хэдбэнгу качёвый ритм, скоростные соло - всё, чем вообще можно характеризовать трэш как таковой. Вокал непрерывно мечется от манеры Хэтфилда к откровенному скриму и безумному ору. Мелодии не особо сложны, но прекрасно запоминаются с первого же прослушивания - музыка группы абсолютно искренняя и прямолинейная, хотя вполне неглупа и технична. Может быть, в хитовости новый релиз канадцев и уступает свежему творению Kreator, но, без сомнения, на моей полке они займут соседние места. На данный момент - один из двух лучших трэш-релизов этого года.

Все-таки вокалист "дает Хэтфилда", что несколько смущает. Хотя... кто виноват, что у него такой голос?
А в отношении музыки - полный порядок. В наличии весь спектр трэшевых приемов - смены ритма, кач, соло. Также хочется отметить наличие неплохих мелодий и то, что так редко вижу в последнее время в трэше, - группа не сваливается в непонятный тяжеляк и не заигрывает с power metal. Лучшими считаю песни Overthrow и Undead man walking.
Резюме - хороший релиз.

The missing tracks 1 and 6 are not :00 seconds. They are in fact, part of the CD. The version on this page is a 'web rip', transcoded to 320kbps. The original uploader 'ripped' the tracks from a web page (probably the bands) and then made a disc of it, and re-upped the tracks to a file hosting site. Don't be fooled. The album has 7 tracks. Songs 1 and 6 are intro's to the preceeding songs.
