Удивился сам себе: услышал эту группу (и именно этот альбом) еще в 2002 году, и в памяти у меня отложилось, что играют что-то типа викинг-метала. Тут достал компакт, решил переслушать, был удивлен (а темы с Asgaard на МА только убедили меня): действительно блэк! Нет, есть малая толика фолк-мотивов в их песнях (типа Sadness of Stony Angel, вступления, соло и некоторых вокальных партий в Mon Ange, Love... Blood... & Eternity, но без особого размаха). Но в основном блэк с (био)активными добавками клавишных и всяких прочих струнных, скорее все-таки симфо-блэк (и, вероятно, прог-блэк), чем готика. Из свежих впечатлений от раннего альбома - великолепнейшие вокальные партии, сложные, на много голосов (Love... Blood... & Eternity); великолепные инструментовки, гитарные партии, украшенные различными струнными виньетками; и жирнейшие I've Brought a Flower for You... For Us и ... about Love - такой сплав doom и black, что последние волосы из головы вылазят!
Прокрутил альбом несколько раз в полнейшем восторге и скачал всю дискографию на торренте.
