For 25 years Freak Animal Records has published countless releases by Finnish artists. Activities of label has played part in shaping perception how many people see the Finnish noise and experimental underground. Despite vast amount of releases, label has never given full view that would reveal diversity of expression found among Finnish scene.

After quarter of century of work, Freak Animal aimed to take a task of compilation series under title Terässinfonia. To present Finnish noisy and abstract experimental sound in wider scale. Assumption is, that there would be at least three volumes, if not more. All volumes include many projects unknown for vast majority of people. Series will illuminate that Finland is at this moment experiencing surge of creativity on this field, even if it may happen widely unnoticed.

This man hails from the bleak and desolate wastelands of Russia and in many ways the sounds reflect this hostile environment. Slow and churning dark throbs, clatters and sound waves form a cobweb of deathlust and dark magick.

One thing that is especially striking is the analogue nature of the music. Classic Industrial weaponry like the MS10 live up to their long-lasting legacy and the deep and full waves interact with percussion created with real bones and human remains. There is a feeling of minimalism and trancelike repetition that is mastered skillfully, reminding the listener of absolute classics like Zero Kama, Halo Manash and Korpses Katatonik.

В общем и целом, за неимением другого, покамест Resacralize The Unknown - альбом года в BM, в самом традиционном его воплощении без всякой хyйни, ужимок, цензурной блевотины и прочего... Грубый и отточенный в своём мастерстве BM as is.
Нет ни единой причины хоть как-то сомневаться в творческий всплесках и искренности товарища Аспы - по моему, это вообще просто глупо.

Годы идут – восьмидесятый не меняется. Цыганский табор Ektomorf лучше Coal Chamber это как Slayer лучше… ну, хотя бы Paradise Lost. Гетара что-то жужжит, боробан стучит, певец кричит – метал? Ну, вроде да, чего ещё надо-то?

Coal Chamber всегда были несколько необычной группой на сцене, начиная от совершенно отталкивающе-мразотного имиджа (сохранившегося даже по прошествии почти четверти века – респект, хуле) с копипастой идей дебютного альбома Korn, продолжив странным, но интересно звучащим и выбивающимся из общего тренда Chamber Music с неожиданной кавер-версией песни Peter Gabriel, где на вокале отметился аж сам Великий, например, а упокоившись, собственно, с сабжем.
Суть и составляющие Dark Days – тупорылый грохот и непроглядно мрачная, местами исступлённо-шизофреническая атмосфера, незамысловатые, повторяющиеся, но безбожно качающие гитарные риффы и ядовитый, абразивный словно наждачка вокал, скорее отхаркивающий рубленые фразы, в противовес привычным жанру чистоголосым распевам и речитативам. На этом альбоме Coal Chamber выкристаллизовали свой стиль и стали действительно уникально-узнаваемой группой среди сонма исполнителей (хотя аналогов и Chamber Music особо нет, но там были ещё какие-то нащупывания почвы, эксперименты и творческие метания) – никто так не играл ни до, ни после. По крайней мере, для меня, абсолютно каждый трек здесь обладает какими-то нюансами и действительно запоминается, а это ценно, ведь по прошествии аж двадцати с небольшим лет с момента знакомства я всё же иногда с удовольствием переслушиваю эту работу.
Dark Days поистине стали «тёмными временами» и персональным проклятием для Coal Chamber: практически на пике своего успеха, участники группы с энтузиазмом и полной отдачей окунулись в пучину алкогольно-наркотического угара, вдрызг разругавшись-передравшись между собой и попросту выбросив группу на свалку и так уже практически исдыхающего жанра. Взаимной ненависти хватило практически на десяток лет, но итогом стал лишь совершенно беззубый и пресный Rivals, серия концертов и неудивительная развязка в виде громкого хлопанья дверью и заверениями никогда больше не связываться с мyдaками из славного прошлого. И недавно Д.Фафара, более-менее очухавшись от серьёзных проблем со здоровьем, заявил, что неиллюзорная возможность отъехать в мiр иной позволила отбросить прошлые обиды, наладить контакты с участниками группы и задаться вопросом: а что же, собственно, дальше? А дальше репетиции материала, реюнион и выступления на различных фестивалях. И думается, что вновь ненадолго…

Whether apparent or not, there is a force to struggle within its boundaries and a protection against unexpected turbulences, almost as if a vigorous rain were churning up the river. Но стоит отметить, что эта вот Терминальная Стадия это как vkbm, только vkdm. Говно, в общем, бессмысленное и беспощадное.

Обычный вечер в Осло, несколько парней сидят за прослушиванием сомнительного качества демо-кассет, попивая Кока-Колу и тут один толкает в плечо другого и говорит: прикинь, Гюльве, наш дурачок Кристофер группу свою Волками обозвал! Прям в копилку к Ветке и Шипу.

Удушающе густой и гипнотический сладж на дабовой основе с интересно звучащей, механизированной и местами качающей не хуже какого-нибудь джангла ритм-секцией. Копоть, ржавчина и полный беспросвет. После завершения альбома безо всякого промедления запустил его на повторное прослушивание, о чём тащемта ничуть не пожалел, хотя в принципе Godflesh большей частью оставлял меня равнодушным и вообще помню из предыдущего творчества только Us And Them с Post Self. Крутой, по олдскульному звучащий в 2023 году альбом, с претензией на попадание в персональный топ.

Всегда интересовало только одно - а где у Rammstein индустриальность-то?

Вернули 93 год.

Про одинокие хождения по хвойному ночному лесу и полные Презрения пинания валяющихся под ногами шишек, очевидно же. Можно ещё на каких-нибудь развалинах диавола славить.
Позасрали настоящий bm своей заумной дэтспелломеговщиной.

Третий альбом в дискографии турецкого ансамбля продолжает следовать по накатанной - многотонным катком, со смачным хрустом и утробным чавканьем по черепам слушателей. Наматывающий, словно гирлянды потрохов невнимательного пэтэушника на вал станка в цеху, brutal death metal с сочно лязгающий арматурным басом, немилосердным барабанным колошматиловом и практически непрекращающимся кишечно-полостным вокалированием. Периодически даже казалось, что довольно простые гитарные партии где-то там в глубине микса начинают мутировать в какое-то галлюциногенно-диссонансное месиво вроде того, что выдавали соседи по издающему дому Disentomb и Iniquitous Deeds, но все эти поползновения в конце концов всё равно остаются погребёнными под напором раскочегарившегося маховика смерти. Саунд, кстати говоря, вполне себе в духе продукции New Standard Elite - плотный, качественный, приятно массирующий перепонные барабанки, без провалов, глушняка или кашеобразности. Как смачный удар чугунной трубой по голове - твёрдо и чётко. И на текущий момент, в тройке претендентов на персональный топ в стиле, пока Devangelic с энтузиазмом углубляются в атмосферность и пыльную древность, а 7H.Target пытаются разломать биомеханическое колесо Сансары, Molested Divinity уверенно выходят на первое место в категории самый зверский и фееричный альбом года. Изумительная вещь.
