Nestled deep in the forests of Mendocino County in Northern California, huddled under the protective shade of towering redwoods and within earshot of frothy waves crashing against the Pacific coastline, squats a geodesic dome that has served as crucible for the experimental genius of Carlton Melton.Nature and Man operate under different logics. But here, Carlton Melton wholly entrusts this idyllic environment with the task of inspiring and guiding their musical improvisations.

The Dome has been the ideal setting to facilitate their creativity. Without forcing a specific dynamic or theme, the band inhabits its womb-like confines to improvise, explore, dream. Sleepwulf’s debut album is a bonfire of vintage 70s proto doom sounds that recently set fire to the underground rock scene, managing to gain a #3 spot on the cuvited Doom Charts.

Inspired heavily from the work of renowned occultist John Dee, this album attempts to rekindle his vision of a united cosmos. From the stars to atoms and back again, every aspect of the album is rooted in these core principles. These themes also seep into the back cover artwork which was cut from a single piece of paper, with each image representing a song on the album.

To keep the authentic retro vibe, the album was self-recorded live on tape in their practice room. “It was a journey to capture the sound we were hearing when we jammed together but after a lot of trial and error, we got there in the end”.

The cover art was drawn in the late 70s by the singer's father and left undiscovered in a cupboard for 40 years until shortly before the album was finished.
This is an album of cycles and connection, which endeavors to bring the sounds of old into the burning sun once again.

A group of professional folk musicians in St. Petersburg, Russia, spontaneously got together in 2005 and formed Otava Yo as a side project. They wanted to create new interpretations of Russian folk music, accessible to all audiences, and to revive old favorite Soviet tunes
After working on its "Russian beat" concept for three years the band released a new album, "Once Upon a Time."

Some call them "modern buffoons", others describe the music as "communal flat groove", and both are true. Otava Yo serves up its music in a vigorous manner with a good dose of humor, mixing up overdriven traditional Russian instruments with a stereotypical Russian look, which simultaneously frightens and attracts the tourists.
Witty song introductions emerged with the music, livening up already energetic performances. The band is very popular in its home city of St. Petersburg, playing some 80 concerts a year at various venues and events. 2010 and 2011 were especially successful - Otava Yo played at several well known European folk festivals, breaking records in festival CD sales and
meeting the President of Estonia; made its first music video; received an award from Bratislava’s Humor Academy; and produced a play based on Russian Christmas songs, to be released on an album in December 2011.

The award-winning bassist, composer, producer and arranger, Shri Sriram, releases a brand new solo album, ‘THE LETTER’, in 2020. Produced by the legendary Norwegian jazz pianist and composer, Bugge Wesseltoft, the album is released on Wesseltoft’s own label, Jazzland.

Shri Sriram’s dynamic quest for new and collaborative ways of making music has taken him all over the world. From Indian classical music to electronica, from trip hop to jazz, from musical theatre to film scores, Shri’s superb musicianship and positive vibes are in constant demand from fellow musicians and producers, presenters and audiences everywhere. He and Bugge have long shared an enthusiasm for new and collaborative ways of making music and ‘THE LETTER’ is the culmination of many happy hours of talking, walking, cooking and playing music.

“’THE LETTER’ is actually dedicated to the great German electric upright bass player Eberhard Weber, who wrote me a letter after listening to a demo I made for him in 1993,” says Shri. “Eberhard’s letter was so inspiring; it helped me to focus on my musical approach in very specific ways and gave me reason and strength to continue on the path I was developing.

“We’ve got some amazing musicians on the album: Norwegian double bass player Arild Andersen, the Italian jazz drummer Paolo Vinaccia, who sadly passed away this year, Norwegian saxophonist Tore Brunborg and my old friend and collaborator, the award winning clarinettist and saxophonist Ben Castle on bass clarinet.”
