I recommend ScarletFire's 2013.8.22 SoulseekQT build if you use Windows, if you can still find it (edit: https://soulseek.soft32.com/old-version/433855/2013.8.22/ -- I can't personally vouch for this copy, so I would run it through VirusTotal first at least). My OS is Windows 10 Home, and I set it to run in Windows 8 in compatibility mode. It's the best and most stable version I've personally used, and has all the best features and UI of any SLSK client, and none of the worst. I love MetalArea, and I've used it for well over a decade, but I've found loads of obscure stuff on Soulseek that either doesn't exist on MetalArea at all, or if it does the links are dead or the rips are sub-V0. Oh, and I'm sharing this Black Altar comp in Cheers. edit: as you can see below, it has been pointed out that the "320" albums floating around on Soulseek aren't genuine 320 rips. I have edited the post to reflect this fact. Apologies to anyone who may have been misled. I still stand by the rest of the post however. |
