I liked the second half of the album more, but in average wouldn't make it into my top albums of the year. Structures are repetitive, there were just a few riffs that I thought are great in relation to the total amount of riffs, the vocals sound so far away (due to everything being drenched in reverb) that it almost feels like an instrumental album - it sounds way too soft, and as one reviewer at bandcamp said: "sounds hopeful", not something I look for in this genre. Was expecting some relentless twisted black with dissonance and complex metrics done in a real hallucinogenic state.

Gehenna cover. Let's listen...

Thanks for the fast share, Borderline. I love all Gehenna (except the Murder album). An amazing band.

The last 2 albums, WW and Unravel are waaay far from Ancient, as they developed into a pitch black style that leaves behind the keyboard usage and instead focuses on technical black metal riffing. The song "Flames of the Pit" immediately makes me headbang. Gehenna didn't end with their first albums trilogy...

Nice traditional vocals. Sounds like early 00's BM, better than nowadays soulless music.

Ah, real drums attack... What a pleasant surprise to hear nowadays.

We're really all "commercial" since the moment we earn a buck from our music, and there's nothing wrong with that. I get your point, let's be more accurate and call it MAINSTREAM.

I still think this one has the worst artwork, but I agree that Dark Endless is their best.

The whole album sucks. It is their weakest album and worst artwork so far. Only 1 half-decent track... out of the 9.

The amount of compression kills the mix, guitars can't even breathe. Everything's fine regarding frequencies but it sounds crappy due to the suicidal compression squashing everything. This is an example of how music with big budget but little experience sounds like. Hopefully the artist reads this, as useful feedback.

Finally, well done Funeral Doom with death and black elements.

The 3 bands worked in close synergy with the concepts and recordings, as well as with the painter of the front cover and inner artwork sigil.

This is a split with very deep subjects and compositions. It has nothing to do with nazism though, so don't try to accuse with stuff which is external to the album. Just experience the darkness in it, without prejudices.

This is one of those releases that would highly benefit from having real drums, instead of programmed drums. The riffs despite being repetitive are catchy and very traditional, they have this cold/grim style which one would expect from raw black metal of the second wave.
