Своей неторопливо-размеренной поступью и своеобразным гитарным звучанием альбом напомнил Engram от финнов Beherit, хотя атмосфера и настроение Howls Of Infinite Horror достаточно сильно отличается - альбом более "человеческий" (если вообще применим такой эпитет к BM-альбому), более эмоциональный, даже в чем-то созерцательный в отличие от бездонного цинизма Engram. Малые терции, используемые тут и там, создают ощущение пронзительности, хотя этот аспект не главный здесь - доминирует всё же размеренность, чему способствует также панорамный вокал где-то там, позади инструментов - грим, достаточно монотонный и неистеричный.
Альбом со своей атмосферой и своим духом, как минимум заслуживает внимания. |
