От викинг-метал тут по большому счету только и осталось то, что песни исполнены норсками, а не какими-то там саамами, или, прости Один, свенами. Да и тут родословную надо у всех проверять. Как я понимаю, каждый из вокалистов привносил что-то свое, так что в итоге, если разобраться, мы тут слушаем фолк-метал (Oceans Rise, Winter Millenium), который по своему логическому итогу пришел к фолк-прогу (The Witching Hour, Ad Noctum). Что самое интересное, что вишенкой на торте являются не какие-то там гитарно-клавишные заверченные соло или смены ритма, а вокальные партии: совершенно не представляешь, что там вокалист в следующие секунды исполнит. Более поздние альбомы группы слушал не очень внимательно, и прежде чем что-то заявлять, надо еще послухать, но ранние альбомы, по 2006 год включительно могли бы смело претендовать на звание идеальной дискографии, настолько все в них круто. В том числе - и на The Archaic Course.
