Additional notes:
In 1997, they played in South Korea for the first time. Later that year they played a show in Tampa, Florida with Monstrosity and Angelcorpse as their first US appearance.

In 1999, they released their first full-length album "Erupted Wrath" from Nightfall Records. Also played Milwaukee Metalfest for the second time, and also played the November to Dismember festival in Texas.

Released their second album "Ugliness Revealed" (originally released under Baphomet Records) but later re-released through Necropolis Records in 2001.

In 2002, Defiled played at Metal Meltdown in New Jersey for the third time and recorded a new album (the 4th effort for the band) titled "Divination" which was mixed by Jim Morris at Morrisound Recordings. They also collaborated with Merzbow.

In 2003, Defiled signed with current label Season of Mist and released the album "Divination" worldwide on the 12th of May (on May 20, in the U.S.) And in 2011 they released their fourth full-length album, also under Season of Mist.
