Классный альбом! Неоднократно пытался послушать эту вещь, но все никак не цепляло. Наконец вдумчиво послушал и сразу понял - великая группа! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif) Налицо влияние Black Sabbath. Сожалею только, что Йохан Лянгквист ушел из Candlemass, очень красивый вокал у него. Хотя "Мессия" ему уступает совсем немного (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif)

Как только начал слушать, сразу же запал на этот альбом. Редко когда дебют так нравится, очень редко. Вокал очень хорош, временами очень мощно поет. Crystal Ball офигенная песня (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headcrab.png) Остальные тоже нарасхват.

Всеобщепризнанно величайший альбом в истории doom'a, заодно давший наименование жанру. Самые сильные стороны альбома - это потрясающий вокал и соло-партии. При этом, в обоих случаях, и что касается вокала, и что касается соло-партий, это не регулярные участники Candlemass, а эпизодические гости. Более того, их след в истории метала теряется.
'Epicus Doomicus Metallicus' - единственный известный мне альбом, каждая композиция которого является шедевром, вообще без исключений по типу "просто хороших композиций". Субъективно... Также, хочется отметить раскатистые брейки, играемые в медленном темпе, они звучат особенно динамично и акцентированно.
