альбом на больше чем 8/10 не тянет, так как половина всех песен - плоховаты...

Действительно печально. Особенно если считать, что есть самая лучшая на альбоме The Cry of Mankind, этакий "наш ответ Керзону диким финским рыбоедам. Я реально был озадачен при первом прослушивании этим аморфисообразным звуком, знакомыми фортепианными пассажами. Хотя она такая единственная. Все остальное - "Сборник лучших похоронных маршей. Том третий.
Хотя перечисленные Your Shameful Heaven, Two Winters Only и A Sea To Suffer In достойны несомненного упоминания. Фирменное звучание, опробованные фишки типа фортепиано, пронзительных скрипичных партий и акустических гитарных вставок на них - выше всякой похвалы. MDB at his best. Почетное второе место в хит-параде альбомов "...Невесты" - гарантировано.

In 1995 My Dying Bride were invited by Steve Harris to be the opening band of Iron Maiden's European tour. Harris himself made the invitation, phoning Andrew Craighan to tell him that he thought The Angel and the Dark River was "a killer album"

Хотя ещё более забавно - это печальный дум на разогреве у бодрого хеви с "плясовыми" мелодиями (а они у Мэйденов именно такие).

Не знаю , почему я перестал их слушать после Turn Loose The Swans , вернее от части знаю, был период , когда в основном только дум и слушал и видимо надоел он. Начал слушать с того альбома , на котором "завязал". надо сказать, хорошая работа.Грусть, меланхолия и обреченность , звучат в каждой ноте.
