Значица, это и есть modern thrash? Ну да, логично. Раз есть modern death, значит, должен быть и modern thrash.

В некоторой степени группа реабилитировалась с выпуском этого альбома. Вновь появились достаточно тяжелые, трэш-грувовые песни (In the presence of my enemies, Days turn blue to gray, Vim), однако и они не свободны от влияния Nu-metal. Но вот баллада Descend The Shades Of Night, да и весь демо-материал ясно указывает вектор музыкальных интересов Флинна.
В любом случае - лучше, чем два предыдущих альбома.

Вроде и тяжело, и экстримально, а посмотришь так, сяк - ну чистой воды ню-метал, только обвешанный серьёзными рюшками. Выдаёт с головой причастность к этому субжанру структурный примитивизм многих песен, натужно жёсткие риффы, ну и вокал, живо напоминающий творчество Korn и Slipknot.
Послушаю следующий альбом - там вроде обстановка получше должна быть, если судить по отзывам.

Действительно, жанр в шапке темы ни к селу ни к городу. Грув/альтернатив-метал, треш можно дописать в принципе - но не хардкор точно.
Мнение об альбоме я улучшил кстати. Ню-металом зря обозвал, конечно, хотя прямолинейные аранжировки и временами какая-то размазня вместо риффов таки напрягают иногда.
