Не умели раньше техникал играть? Оо. Мне уже смешно это слышать. Artillery - признаная все миром треш метал группа, гитаристы которой считаются очень сильными. Они могли техникал играть, только не играли - факт.

Инструментал отличный - встряска и разгульная энергия!! А вокал мне всегда тут не особо нравился, такое ощущение что он "каркающий" какой-то (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif) Точно - на любителя. Хотя если прослушивать подряд Н-ное количество раз, то нормально. Но переслушивая через некоторое время - всё возвращается "на место" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/crazy.gif)

Когда-то давно я слышал Артилери, но впечатлений не помню, видимо, не пошло...
А тут попробовать слухануть эту пластиночку и... очень вштырило!
Мощный трэшак. Техничный конечно, но не техникал. А вокал очень даже в тему!

Интересно слушать этот альбом. По ряду причин. Например, первые три песни, потом Theatrical Exposure - столь знакомый по предыдущим альбомам технично сыгранный thrash metal; причем (затрудняюсь сказать, как этого добились музыканты) звучит не так сухо, как, скажем вещи с Artillery - By Inheritance (remastered 2007) (1990), а более объемно, звук богатый, жирный, вероятно, все дело в микшировании. А вот далее (с Final Show), можно сказать, что пошел groove, относительно более агрессивный и примитивный как в плане общего звучания, так и в плане вокальных партий (тут много речитатива или простого оголтелого визжания). Однако, этот чес очень солидно разбавлен отличными гитарными соляками (вся инструментальная часть и соло в середине Final Show; или центральная часть WWW, которая в финале начинает напоминать звучанием Shortest Straw; потом в Violent Breed, Paparazzi). Смешно, но заглавная песня отчего-то понравилась меньше всех - какая-то она никакая...
По сравнению с предыдущими работами - слушается слабже. Однако, с этим диском артиллеристом удалось пережить мутные 90-е.

The guys simply didn't know where to go with this opus: should they go back to their roots, and thrash out in the good old school way? Or should they pay tribute to the 90's with all the groove, aggro and post-thrash? As a result they cooked a mix between the two, not terribly bad, but very far from the high models from the late-80's/early-90's

B.A.C.K.- НАЗАД. Вокалист как раз тут сбавил обороты (IMG:style_emoticons/default/1488.gif) как и музыканты в целом. До шедевра альбом не дотянул, как предыдущие 3. А так вполне приятная работа на современный манер, без новомодных штучек.
