Fallout и Carnivore
В начале 80-х подросток Питер Стил вместе со своим приятелем Джошем Сильвером создал группу под названием Fallout. Группа в 1981 году выпустила свою единственную запись — EP под названием Batteries Not Included, которая пользовалась некоторым успехом на радиостанции колледжа.
Fallout быстро распались. Сильвер создал группу Original Sin, игравшую смесь хэви-метала и новой волны, а Стил — спид/трэш-метал группу Carnivore. Carnivore отличались политическими текстами про расовые и религиозные проблемы. Группа добилась относительной известности в Нью-Йорке, однако после выхода второго альбома Retaliation Стил взял паузу и устроился на работу в Нью-Йоркском Департаменте парков. Проработав два года смотрителем в одном из парков, в 1989 году Стил вернулся к музыке. Вместе с Сильвером и еще двумя друзьями, Солом Абрускато и Кенни Хики, он создал группу, которая сначала была названа «Sub-Zero», но потом выяснилось, что группа с таким названием уже существовала, и после долгих споров появилось название Type O Negative (переводится как «Первая отрицательная группа крови»).
В 2006 г. Стил реанимировал Carnivore.

Ну да. Правда, нечто подобное слышал у Treblinka, но они позже свои вариант записали.
Что касается самого альбома, то он более прямолинейный по сравнению с дебютником, что не является минусом. Злые и быстрые трэки. Опять отметились заимствованиями, как фрагментарно (похороннй марш в Technophobia, выступление Гитлера с одновременным католическим молебном в Jesus Hitler), так и в виде кавер-версии на Хендрикса.

Старожилы форума могут помнить один из моих запросов - узнай музыку, причём тупейший, потому что кассета не сохранилась и пришлось описывать словами. Я со временем распознал все дописки, которые были на моих кассетах, кроме этой. Кусок этого альбома был на дописку уж не помню к чему, а продавец сказал мне, что это Slayer. Наверное, я и написал в запросе, что трэш, что действительно похоже на Slayer (ретроспективно: ну блин, ведь только вокал!) и в одном промежутке между песнями речь Гитлера. Понятно, что я не из-за Адольфа искал, а риффы и скорость понравились. Никто в итоге не вспомнил, а среди альбомов Slayer ничего подобного я не обнаружил. И сегодня на Youtube случайно попал на этот альбом. Как встреча с очень старым другом, с которым хорошо так бухалось. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/1488.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/20.gif)
