Классный альбом, но не самый лучший (мое мнение) - Character мне нравится больше (IMG:style_emoticons/default/25.gif)
P.S.(отчасти потому что с Characterа началось знакомство с группой - качаю всегда последний альбом, потому как все группы со временем становятся более опытными и матерыми, хотя иногда инновации или застои в творчестве играют злые шутки с группами) Альбом Fiction вышел достаточно мелодичным и мощным, и, что самое главное, его хочется слушать еще и еще - особенно такие песни как Inside the particle storm, The mundane and the magic, Nothing to no one реально цепляют. |

Не более, чем выдумка При всей моей любви к Projector, я не считаю, что этот альбом задал новую высоту в творчестве DT - он задал высоту сам для себя, и лишь дальнейшее движение в том направлении могло сотворить что-то с этим положением. Будучи формально записанными с Projector в одном стиле, альбомы до него и после разительно не похожи на него ни атмосферой, ни настроением, хотя определённые попытки умыкнуть частицы его эмоциональности имели место быть. В связи с чем, сравнивать их между собой, как я считаю, неуместно. Но это не отменяет того факта, что вышедшие после него альбомы звучат в проигрывателе реже, а эмоции от них – слабже (Haven вынесу за скобки – он на особом положении). Во время поиска более устойчивого и гибкого стиля (стиль альбома 99-го года было решено дальше не копировать), в котором группа могла бы надолго осесть, были слегка потеряны твёрдость и уверенность подачи. Character, вышедший за два года до рассматриваемого Fiction, твёрдость вернул, но потерял фактурность: читаемость риффов, оглушительный звук и “Lost to Apathy” никак не спасали от поглощающей его пустоты. Шведы на Fiction не откладывают дело в долгий ящик, сразу выстреливая “Nothing to No One”, комбинирующий по-настоящему жёсткий, ударный мелодэт с морозящими, классическими клавишами. Character, впрочем, начинался ещё ураганнее. Но нет, ошибки не были повторены – сабж держится ударного темпа до самого конца, беря несколько необходимых передышек ближе к этому самому концу. Именно Fiction стал тем альбомом, где группа наконец-то прекратила свои поиски и смогла собрать пазл в единую картину, соединив здесь конкретику риффов Damage Done, напор и убойность Character, клавиши Haven, которые альбом буквально изрубили, и свежие готик-металлические штришки. Что самое важное, никаких “ходов лошадью” делать не пришлось – исходники прежние, но приоритеты иные. Конкретизация гитар + снижение удельного веса эффектов = с виду топорный (косо смотрим на Jivarp’а), но крайне въедливый и хитовый материал. Энергетика льётся ливнем, напористость граничит с домогательством, и за всем этим фейерверком многие (в том числе и я) не сразу заметили, или заметили, но не акцентировали внимание на том, что Fiction получился немного модерновым. Под этим термином тут подразумевается не та обязательная бэкграундная синтетическая мишура, что идёт неразрывно с группой со времён Haven, а нечто, что привычно приклеивать к кое-каким другим шведам. Одно из главных достоинств релиза - плотность и бескомпромиссность (в разумных рамках DT) звучания, достигнутая при помощи огрубевших, если не сказать отупевших, гитар имеет кое-какие особенности. Мелодэт сам по себе достаточно кроткий стиль в плане риффов, поэтому, чуть бОльшая, чем обычно, сухость звучания гитар удивлять не должна, но местами риффы укорачиваются и “срезаются” настолько, что жесткость звучания приобретает чуть ли не металкоровые черты. Кое-где начинает мерещиться, что прокачай в гитары больше объёма, а пердёжность баса вытолкай на первый план – и Fiction если не скинет In Flames с трона модерн-мелодика, то уж точно отвесит им звонкий подзатыльник. Впрочем, разговоры о модерновости Fiction относятся к типу “мимо проходил”, ибо даже когда группа неуверенно вступает в “современность”, хуже от этого их музыка не становится. Фомы неверующие могут убедиться в этом на примере ярчайшей “Terminus”. Чуть большая, чем у остальных альбомов шведов потенциальная гибкость под иные веяния – не преступление. Откровенное капитанство напополам с субъективным видением кое-каких аспектов, это, конечно, хорошо, но главное я оставил напоследок: в 2007-м году Dark Tranquillity записали, по сути, классический альбом. Стать таковым на практике ему помешало то, что помехой назвать язык не поворачивается – огромный багаж отменных работ. Будь альбом вторым-третьим в дискографии, можно не сомневаться – в среде поклонников мелодик-дэта его ждал бы культовый статус. Но при наличии The Gallery, The Mind’s I и Projector, да и остальных работ, стать таковым ему не под силу. По крайней мере, в ближайшей перспективе. Можно быть каким угодно жёстким, холодным, правильным, где-то новаторским, вобравшим в себя стилевые клише, обыгранные с такой лёгкостью и задором, что само это понятие теряет негативный окрас, но… it’s too late. Так что теперь этот статус может носить не более чем субъективный характер в головах отдельных поклонников. По факту же – сильнейший (а других у них почти не бывает) релиз, ставший, к тому же, одним из лучших поставщиков концертных вещей, способных расшевелить самое вялое бревно, пришедшее на концерт. |
