Как говорится - продукт своего времени, но прикол в том, что если даже запись слушать фоном и без подглядывания в информ-источники, то с уверенностью можно сказать, что это перед нами штатовская группа с альбомом, записанным в первой половине девяностых. С одной стороны - все так типично, а с другой стороны - все так классно и аутентично, все на таком душевном порыве молодости как самих музыкантов, так и жанра. Еще не заездили эти самые ритмы, не опошлили.

Может быть, Demented Ted и не стали звездной группой, не повлияли решительно на жанровое становление, но первый и единственный альбом не выглядит пыльной древностью. Да, это сейчас достаточно редкий альбом, практически артефакт для собирателей. Деликатесный коллекционный продукт. Но вместе с тем это такой элемент культурного слоя, именуемого Death Metal. Я думаю, вот без них этот самый андерграунд бы потерял крупицу свой энергетики. Поэтому альбом и нужный, и важны - он даже сейчас производит бодрое впечатление, спустя более четверти века.

Ради интереса почитал архивы. Через год после выпуска альбома группа распалась, большая часть музыкантов вообще вышла из музыкальной среды, сосредоточившись, видимо, на далеких от Death Metal вещах. Но потенциал у группы был и на сабжевом альбоме реализован отлично.
