Осенью 2011 Astargh покинул Nokturnal Mortum для создания собственной группы.
Odalv (Twilightfall, Ulvegr, экс-Nokturnal Mortum) был приглашен в качестве барабанщика
В ноябре 2011 года группа, получившая название ELDERBLOOD, приступила к репетициям.
В феврале 2012 Hagalth был приглашен в группу в качестве бас-гитариста.
Запись дебютного альбома началась в конце марта 2012 года на "Dark Essence Studio".
Запись дебютного альбома, названного "Son of the Morning" была окончена в декабре 2012 года.
25 июня 2013 года альбом "Son of the Morning" вышел на американском лэйбле Paragon Rec.

Да, согласен, альбом весьма интересный и сильный, но сравнивать его с Dimmu Borgir, как тут было заявлено, я бы не стал. У DB симфоническая составляющая намного мощнее и выражена ярче, да и клавишные тоже. Нельзя их с этой группой сравнивать.

Блин! Почему всегда если делает симфоблэк он в вене DB?! Почему никто не делает Emperor, Limbonic Art. Обязательно скучный надоевший DB! Хочется экстремальной музыки, а не кваканий под скрипки и бояны.

Для дебютного альбома получилось очень хорошо, местами напомнило даже NM.
Альбом больше стал раскрываться на таких хитах, как My Death, Egocide, Re-Birth.
Харьковская сцена еще раз доказывает, что является пожалуй самой сильной на всем пост совке
