Первые два альбом IM - это культ NWOBHM! На Killers музыканты разыгрались еще хлеще, прыти здесь хоть убавляй, Харрис так вообще показал широкой общественности что такое бас! Пол д.А., этот чертов панк, распелся-разглосился любо дорого слушать, отличный тембр и диапазон. Если Брюква горлопан и шоумэн, при всем уважении - Пол все-таки как певец поинтереснее)) Пластинка - история, треки - классика, любимый трек - Purgatory!

Почему, безусловно я фанат Брюса, но у IM не было слабых вокалистов, у всех очень яркие певческие голоса были, как, впрочем, и личности.

А вообще, помнится, с Бэйли были постоянные проблемы. То на мотоцикле разобьется. То голос постоянно терял во время турне. Хороший певец для клубной группы, занимающейся самораспространением записей, сделанных в гараже на ноутбук.

Так, как Брюс спел его песни на Рок в Рио, Блейзу даже не снилось! Хотя, не спорю, в IM он старался как мог. Но Брюс - это величина недостижимая даже для более крутых вокалистов.

В первую очередь надо отметить инструментальные темы, The Ides Of March и Genghis Khan, оглядываясь назад становится ясно, что они в определенной степени определили дальнейшее изменение звучания на более монументальное (если можно так выразиться). Потом насчет вокала ДиАнно – в некоторые моменты становится понятно, что он не совсем подходит общему звучанию группы. Это слышно в Wrathchild или Innocent Exile – его панковский и несколько «задранный вокал» диссонируют с более низким и отточенным звуком гитар и ритм-секции. Более быстрые номера типа Killers и Murders In The Rue Morgue не дают такого впечатления. Потом бас… тут нет тупого повтора основного ритмического рисунка, это своя сложная и интересная партия, своя мелодия. И еще чем отличался Iron Maiden – на каждом альбоме всегда были один-два хита (ясно, что не уровня Billy Jean), таких, что при названии той или иной пластинки четко вспоминаются мелодии песен. Тут явно можно назвать заглавную, Purgatory и Wrathchild. И еще есть Prodigal Son, только она, по большому счету, не звучит как обычная металлическая композиция от англичан, это скорее прог-рок, со своими ритмическими и мелодическими рисунками, состоящая из нескольких частей. Она лучшая, кстати, на альбоме.
