слушаю Иммолэйшн и не перестаю удивляться - ведь больше никто так не играет, как они!
ну, у Morbid Angel встречаются вещи с похожей мрачной брутальной атмосферой, а больше ни у кого...

Не понимаю эту музыку. Она построена на применении определённого набора приёмов. Возможно, Immolation были одними из первых, и это новаторство интересно. Но крайне не соглашусь со мнением, что больше так никто не играет. Именно по причине того, что музыка построена на шаблонном наборе приёмов, так играет половина тяжеловесов на реп. точках мира. Сталкивался с этим множество раз. По крайней мере в России и Украине.
Если же говорить конкретно про альбом, то прослушав его 10 раз, смог для себя выделить из общего потока только 2 композиции - "Nailed to Gold" и "Christ's Cage".

Интересно, а что, есть музыка, при исполнении которой не пользуются определённым набором приёмов?
Вообще, приёмов, используемых при игре на электрогитаре с искажённым звуком - не так уж и много - не буду их тут перечислять - почти весь набор вы найдёте в менюшке Гитар-про.
А вот так, как Иммоляторы - действительно, мало кто играет - аналогии можно проводить, ну, например, с Ulcerate, поджалуй, да и то - не прямые.
А так - да, большинство дет-метал групп используют пальм-мьют, флажолеты, тремоло...

Да, так играют только Immolation. У остальной половины тяжеловесов я б вообще инструменты поотбирал. А для тех, кто музицирует в России и Украине, ввёл бы статью в УК "За издевательство над культурой металлической музыки".
