не люблю их. в первую очередь, за вокал ещё со времён Mudvayne. голос как у прокуренного шизофреника из психушки. но в сабжевой банде уже не так противно он орёт. ну стиль звучания, всё-таки, другой, и адаптировать своё пение как-то под него пришлось

вообще, мне не нравится у них ни грувовая составляющая, ни южная. да и сама группа, как будто, вылезла чисто за свои имена. как и те же Down. ничем особенным обе группы для меня не выделяются, но шумиха вокруг них стоит, шо мама дорогая

но есть у них два моих кумира: Винни, само собой (мужик!) и Том Максвелл, который когда-то лабал в Nothingface - одной из немногих ню-метальных банд (да и одной из первых, можно сказать), которая действительно крутая. особенно, их дебют 1996. не было у них уродских адиков (болезнь, которая пошла от корнов у всех практически недоделанных мазафакеров-музыкантов, включая их упоротых фанов), штанцов в виде танковых чехлов, маек до колен, дредов, питарастических причёсок всех цветов радуги. скромные такие пацаны, которые играли музыку в своё удовольствие. популярные, но не слишком. в своих кругах, что называется. и это збс! один из главных их плюсов, который заслуживает моё уважение. ну а самый смак - их мощное агрессивное звучание с кайфовым во всех отношениях вокалом. в дальнейшем, схожесть немалую можно услышать у Slipknot. но у Кори Тэйлора вокал получился более истеричным

сабжевый альбом слушать не собираюсь

А мне норм) Возможно - потому, что не фанат грува, как такового (не жду от группы чего-то прям уж суперохренительного)- по сути практически не с чем и сравнить. Вообще - Hellyeah изначально - средняя группа для "ценителей", у которой не редко встречаются очень неплохие, драйвово-мелодичные вещи. Ну и вокал Чеда Грея люблю ещё с Мадвэйна ( Anger не шарит просто, не слушайте его (IMG:style_emoticons/default/25.gif) ) - умеет ещё мужик дать жару, когда нужно. И в данную, конкретную музыку вписывается идеально. А та самая его "шизофреничность" в Мадвейне как раз и цепляла - другого такого вокалиста (когда с полушёпота начинается дикий, безбашенный ор, потом - снова шёпот, какие-то "полувсхлипы", снова ор - и всё это - под стать на редкость (для стиля) интересной и разнообразной музыке. Просто - одни из лучших в, теперь уже окончательно " канувшим в Лету", стиле...
Если снова по теме - понравились драйвовые Be Unden!able, Live or Die, Startariot, Scratch a Lie. Бодрая риффовка решает... Медляковые же вещи какие-то совсем "пустые" и откровенно МТВишные - не понравились, на прошлом было лучше.
В итоге - пару песен в качалку добавилось - и отлично! Другого (тем более - чтоб, как говорится - выше головы прыгнули) - глупо было и ожидать.

Hellyeah to Release Final Album With Vinnie Paul in 2019

For those wondering about the future of Hellyeah, the band revealed in their Thanksgiving message to fans that a new album will arrive in 2019.

Fans may remember that the band was working on a new record at the time of drummer Vinnie Paul's death earlier this year. In their Thanksgiving message, the group stated, "Happy Thanksgiving Hellions!! See you all next year and with a new record that is going to blow you away!!" See the post below.

Shortly after Paul's death, bass player Kyle Sanders told SiriusXM's Jose Mangin that the group had been in the studio. "We're in the middle of huge things right now. This is the last thing you expect to hear. We're in the studio right now, man. We're doing a record, [this is] everything that Vinnie lives for. It's devastating, man," stated Sanders at the time.

He continued, "The music that I'm sitting on right now, it makes me so happy to hear it, to have all the music done. We're doing vocals now, we're like 75 percent done with this record. [The] tour's starting in September, all these festivals [are booked]. We just were on the phone with Vinnie talking about the game plan." Sanders said that things were so far advanced with plans to release the new album and tour that he and Vinnie Paul had already started planning the menus for shows where they could also barbecue.

As for his time with Paul in Hellyeah and their recent work, Sanders added, "Playing bass with that drummer, being the foundation with him in this band, I'm so satisfied with what we've done together. And what we just did on this whole record together. I couldn't be more proud."

HELLYEAH have released a brief tease of what appears to be new music from their forthcoming new album. That record is expected to feature the final studio recordings of the band’s drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott, who passed away last June. Release details for the record have yet to be revealed
