Очень точное определение. Лучше альбом расслушивать по песням, не больше одной-две в день. Тогда искренне проникаешься. Иначе каша полная. Ничего не понять.

Группа задала себе настолько высокую планку, что в какой-то момент оказалась погребена под тяжестью и объемом втиснутых в альбом идей.

Хорошие фрагменты и over-пафосный балласт помпезных нагромождений здесь примерно 50 на 50. Вышколенный кристальный звук, зашкаливающее количество дорожек в финальном миксе, объемный лирический концепт и потрясающее оформление релиза... очень ловко маскируют сумбур в голове творцов сего произведения. Про чувство меры эти люди на записи альбома решили не вспоминать, а таланта и дьявольской искры не хватило чтобы органично масштабировать свои идеи. По итогам очередного прослушивания вместо эзотерического экстаза и просветления наступила лишь усталость и раздражение.

Плохо сейчас могу вспомнить прошлые релизы группы и вполне допускаю, что альбом стал условной пиковой точкой в творческом развитии отдельно взятого Nightbringer. Но проникнуться этим альбомом третий год как не могу. Начинаю подозревать, что проникаться и восторгаться тут просто нечем.

Я бы посоветовал переслушать дебютник - "Death and the Black Work".
Вот где планка высокая была задана. По-моему, все последующие их работы слабее, а со временем и вовсе превратились в постылую жвачку.

Сабж, как и предыдущий альбом - полностью мимо. Вроде бы тоже самое, что и ранее, но не цепляет, проносится фоном. Нет ни завораживающей атмосферы, ни трансцендентной музыкальности, коими славится этот проект...
