Именем Kuolemajärvi назван целый ряд географических объектов бывшей Финляндии на территории нынешней Ленинградской области; это же название присвоил себе карельский проект, озаглавив дебютный релиз тем же словом. Нехитрый, преимущественно среднетемповый чёрный металл четырёх первых безымянных композиций срисован с творческих достижений Кольского МОРа, и это сходство в сочинении риффов и их подаче носит сугубо формальный характер: вымученный и незрелый почерк карело-финской формации так же далёк от яркой и вдохновенной музыки заполярного коллектива, как Выборг от Мурманска. Четвёртый трэк - кавер песни Владимира Высоцкого, и это, мягко говоря, очень своеобразное посвящение. Заключительная пьеса - эмбиентное outro, серое и неприметное... физическое воплощение в виде 97 компактов в gatefold-упаковке с симпатичным артом - это невиданная щедрость со стороны издателя. Незачот.
